Breast Cancer Awareness Month is a time to honor the strength and resilience of survivors. At Studio Evrē, we want to give back to this community by offering a deeply meaningful service at no cost.
Every Friday in October, we’ll be opening two complimentary spots for areola restoration tattooing. This service is available to anyone who has had a unilateral or bilateral mastectomy and has been cleared by their surgeon to receive tattooing.
What is Areola Restoration?
Areola restoration is a specialized tattooing technique that recreates the natural look of the areola and nipple. Using advanced shading and pigment techniques, we design a result that feels authentic and balanced, helping restore a sense of wholeness after surgery.
This procedure is often the final step in reconstruction and can have a profound emotional impact, bringing closure and renewed confidence to many survivors.
Who Can Participate in Free Fridays?
To be eligible for this promotion, you should:
Have undergone a unilateral or bilateral mastectomy.
Be fully healed from reconstruction or revision surgery.
Have clearance from your surgeon confirming it’s safe to proceed.
Be able to travel to our studio in Mequon, Wisconsin.
How to Prepare for Your Appointment
A little preparation helps ensure your skin is in the best condition for treatment:
Avoid alcohol and caffeine for 24 hours before your appointment to reduce sensitivity.
Do not apply lotions, oils, or creams to the chest area on the day of your session.
Stay hydrated and eat beforehand so you feel comfortable throughout.
Wear a soft, loose top that’s easy to remove and won’t irritate the treated area afterward.
What to Expect During the Appointment
Each session is designed to be compassionate, comfortable, and empowering. Sessions typically last 90 minutes for a unilateral procedure or 120 minutes for bilateral. Here’s how it works:
Consultation & Planning – We’ll discuss your goals, preferences for size, shape, and color, and design a look that feels right for you.
Design & Mapping – I carefully measure and outline the area to ensure balance and symmetry.
Tattooing Process – Using specialized pigments and shading techniques, I restore the appearance of the areola. Most clients describe the sensation as mild to moderate, depending on their level of sensitivity.
Aftercare Guidance – At the end, I’ll provide everything you need to care for the area as it heals.
Healing & Aftercare
Healing takes a few weeks, and it’s normal to see some redness, tenderness, or flaking as the skin recovers. The pigment will appear darker at first, then soften as healing progresses.
To support healing:
Avoid soaking the area in water (baths, pools, hot tubs) for at least two weeks.
Avoid tight clothing that may rub against the treated area.
Follow the aftercare instructions we provide to ensure the best results.
Why It Matters
Areola restoration is more than a cosmetic treatment. It’s a step toward closure, confidence, and wholeness. Offering this service free of charge during Breast Cancer Awareness Month is our way of giving back to the community of survivors who inspire us every day.
How to Reserve Your Spot
Because every survivor’s journey and healing timeline is unique, we want to make sure this service is the right fit before booking your appointment. To reserve a Free Fridays spot, simply send us an email with:
Your name and contact information
A brief note about your surgical history (unilateral or bilateral mastectomy, and whether you’ve had reconstruction)
Confirmation that you’ve been cleared by your surgeon for tattooing
From there, we’ll personally review your information and follow up to schedule your appointment. This step helps ensure you’re a good candidate and can truly benefit from this promotion, while also making sure the limited spots go to those who are ready for treatment.
